Today, AUSVEG announced that the 2013 AUSVEG National Convention, Trade Show and Awards for Excellence will be held in the city of Adelaide in late May next year.

“AUSVEG will be bringing the National Convention to Adelaide in 2013. Over the past two years the Convention has attracted between 800-1,000 delegates attending the 3-day event and we are already expecting next year’s numbers to eclipse those figures,” said AUSVEG National Marketing Manager, Simon Coburn.

AUSVEG is the national Peak Industry Body representing around 9,000 of Australia’s vegetable and potato growers.
“We will be holding the event at the world-class Adelaide Convention Centre, which will accommodate a huge Trade Show featuring an elite cross section of horticultural businesses and products,” said Mr Coburn.

“The AUSVEG Convention is the largest event of its kind for the horticulture industry and we are already seeing a spectacular line up of events and speakers coming together.”

The 2013 Convention will mark the fourth annual AUSVEG National Convention, Trade Show and Awards for Excellence and it is predicted to be the biggest event to date.

“The city of Adelaide is the perfect location for the event as the facilities at the Convention Centre are second to none and we encourage delegates to bring their families and take the opportunity to turn it into a holiday.”

“The Convention is a key event within the horticulture calendar, providing business and networking opportunities across the entire supply chain. We also expect it to generate approximately $1million of expenditure for Adelaide,” said Mr Coburn.
