Blackleg on potato can be caused by either Pectobacterium or Dickeya species, and they often work together in different combinations to cause this disease.
Both bacteria species belonging to the Pectobacteriaceae family.
In Australia, bacteria causing Blackleg was previously classified as Erwinia species.
