Last week, members of the AUSVEG team spent the day volunteering at Foodbank Victoria’s Melbourne warehouse.

During the day, the team sorted and packed copious amounts of food orders which will be distributed to numerous charities throughout Victoria, including to those who are playing a crucial role in the unprecedented bushfire crisis.

Last year, Foodbank – Australia’s largest hunger relief organisation – was awarded the E. E. Muir & Sons Community Stewardship Award at the Hort Connections 2019 National Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner in Melbourne.

The Award celebrates an individual or business that engages in local or national community initiatives to develop the wider industry, and demonstrates the responsible planning and management of resources.

Don’t forget the Hort Connections 2020 Conference, delivered by AUSVEG and PMA Australia-New Zealand Limtied (PMA A-NZ), will be held in Brisbane on 15-17 June.
