4pm-4.30pm AEDT | Wednesday 5 October

With presenter Cliff Kinoti from Agriculture Victoria, this webinar will focus on area wide management (AWM) strategies to control viruses in lettuce including lettuce necrotic yellows virus (LNYV), lettuce mosaic virus (LMV), tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) and Big Vein.

AWM strategies for vector-borne diseases canΒ help to prevent or minimise the development of insecticide resistance in vector populations, improve the efficiency of biological agents released for control of vectors, and better protect host resistance genes against the emergence of resistance-breaking strains of the viruses.

It also provides management options when host resistance genes are not available.
