10 September 2018In coordination with VegNET – Victoria Gippsland Division, VegPRO is coordinating a chemical handling training workshop in Werribee South later this month. The workshop is designed for the vegetable industry to raise awareness of the potential hazards and risks of chemicals and how to apply them safely, and previous workshops have been highly successful and popular.
Growers in the region are invited to attend the free, face-to-face workshop and receive training on safe chemical handling, storage and transport, as well as education about the safe application of chemicals using correct personal protective equipment and understanding chemical labels.
Dates: 24-25 September 2018
Location: Fragapane Farms, Duncans Road, Werribee South VIC
Successful participants become accredited with ChemCert Australia in the units AHCCHM303 Prepare and Apply Chemicals and AHCCHM304 Transport and Store Chemicals.
