Fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda) is an exotic pest that has been recently detected in Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia.

Based on overseas experience, fall armyworm larvae can cause significant and sudden crop damage if left unchecked.

Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries has released fact sheets and a webinar regarding the invasive pest, fall armyworm.

The webinar focuses on the management of fall armyworm, while the fact sheets provide information about detections in QLD, crop and pasture impacts, current geographic spread, identification tips and management advice.
