Growers and industry stakeholders in the Wide Bay-Burnett region are invited to attend a free informal full buffet breakfast being offered by Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers as part of the VegNET project.

Attendees at the breakfast will get to hear from special guest speakers Dr Jessica Lye (AUSVEG) and Dr Danyang Ying (CSIRO) about two exciting levy-funded projects that are taking place: one raising awareness and increasing preparedness for an incursion of vegetable leafminer, and another working on vegetable extrusion to create healthy, nutrient-dense snacks with vegetable waste.

Time/date: 7:00am-9:00am, Tuesday 3 April 2018
Location: Rock Bar & Grill, 1A Quay Street, Bundaberg QLD

For more information, or to register to attend, please see the EventBrite page. You can also contact VegNET Industry Development Officer Michelle Haase on 07 4153 3007 or at michelle.haase@bfvg.com.au.

If you don’t live in the area (or can’t make it to the breakfast), you can get an overview of the vegetable leafminer project online. We’ve also recorded an episode of InfoVeg Radio speaking to representatives from some of the organisations delivering the project, which you can listen to using the tool below.
