VegPRO is bringing its free two-day negotiations and influencing workshop to Carnarvon, Western Australia as part of the VegNET program being delivered by vegetablesWA.

This workshop is designed for anyone who deals with people on a day-to-day basis, whether it be your buyers, suppliers, staff or transport and logistics companies. By taking part, you’ll learn a huge range of useful skills, including:

  • increased confidence and effective communication;
  • managing emotional and difficult conversations;
  • controlling and influencing conversation to get better pricing outcomes;
  • preparing effectively to combat pushes from buyers; and
  • identifying other people’s tactics and having a strategy for responses.

If you want to know what to expect, Bundaberg industry development officer Michelle Haase wrote a great blog post in February this year about the course, including testimonials from growers who attended earlier sessions.

Dates: 13-14 September 2018
Location: Carnarvon Motel, 34 David Brand Drive, Carnarvon WA

This workshop has already been delivered around Australia, including a session in Perth and others in Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia, and is part of the VegPRO project, a levy-funded training program that’s been tailored to the vegetable industry.
