Mitsui Chemicals, a global leader in chemical production, is continuing its valued support for the Australian vegetable industry by re-committing to its ongoing Strategic Partnership with AUSVEG.

As well as world-leading chemical production, Mitsui has recently announced an expansion into a new business area: sustainable crop cultivation. To significantly enhance natural plant growth, Mitsui’s proprietary iCAST system supplies liquified nutrients through tubes to a special planting bed that retains inputs and ensures crops can absorb nutrients and air as needed for optimal growth and quality.

Through this partnership Mitsui is supporting AUSVEG’s work on behalf of Australian vegetable growers and the broader vegetable industry, including our advocacy on behalf of growers and our delivery of leading events like Hort Connections 2019.

You can learn more about the iCAST system in this article, or this recap of a recent workshop Mitsui held in Victoria to showcase in-field trials of the system.
