Australian vegetable growers grow some of the world’s best produce, and we’re world-renowned for the incredible standards to which we hold ourselves.

As our industry continues its work to increase exports to $315 million by 2020, it’s vital that we maintain this reputation and ensure that overseas markets appreciate the premium product Australia has to offer.

To give foreign buyers a first-hand look at Australian vegetable production, AUSVEG coordinates the levy-funded Reverse Trade Mission (RTM), which brings international buyers to Australia to visit farms and meet growers.

The annual RTM includes an event where growers can show off their produce to delegates and meet them face-to-face to build the strong relationships that underpin a successful exporting business. With many of our most valuable export markets placing a premium on personal relationships, these meetings play a fundamental role in helping growers develop the export side of their business.

This year, the Taste Australia Fresh Produce Showcase was held on Tuesday 19 June 2018 and featured 36 growers exhibiting to 40 buyers from key export markets, supporting our industry in reaching the consumers overseas who value our premium produce. We’ve included some photos of the display below.
