12.30pm-3pm AEST | Friday 6 May

Join VegNET Gippsland for presentations and a field walk at Farm Express Salads in Boisdale, which has played host to a demonstration of soil moisture monitoring technology over the summer growing season.

Come along to learn about soil moisture monitoring – the first stage of this demonstration project – and what to expect from the technology.

Project Reference Group members from the Growing Gippsland’s Drought Resilience with Technology and Better Soil project will also present a regional context and other extension opportunities available to growers to improve irrigation.

Speakers include technology expert, Marek Matuszek and host grower Walter Chadwick.

Topics include:

  • Adopting soil moisture monitoring and getting the best out of it for your water use and soils
  • How can data add value to your production
  • Agriculture Victoria and WGCMA’s Sustainable Irrigation Program, and
  • Other irrigation support services available to the vegetable industry

A light lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Please RSVP to Bonnie by Wednesday 4 May on 0407 683 938 or at bonnie.dawson@foodandfibregippsland.com.au.
