The impact from the changes to the Horticulture Award – Overtime for Casuals last April continues to be a significant issue for growers and its employees.

The impact on production and management, as well as the impact on worker’s ability to maximise their earnings has been detrimental. Nobody has benefited from this change.

AUSVEG has continued its engagement with the Attorney General and Minister for Industrial Relations Christian Porter on this issue and he has been very receptive.

But in order for AUSVEG and other industry bodies to push for changes to the award, it requires evidence and data.

That is why AUSVEG is encouraging all horticulture growers to complete this Horticulture Award Survey put together by Growcom.

This dataset is crucial for industry to be able to mount a case to government and advocate for change.
