Syngenta, one of the world’s leading agricultural companies, is continuing to display its strong and ongoing support for the Australian vegetable industry by renewing its Leading Strategic Partnership with AUSVEG.

AUSVEG’s relationship with Syngenta has continued to strengthen over many years, with both organisations working to help Australia’s vegetable and potato growers improve their productivity and profitability.

Through this partnership, AUSVEG works closely with Syngenta to assist growers in learning about new crop protection technologies. Syngenta’s consistent strong support for our industry also helps AUSVEG to fund activities beyond our project service delivery, including our advocacy work on behalf of growers and the annual Hort Connections conference.

This year, Syngenta will once again be sponsoring a breakfast session at Hort Connections to help delegates fuel up for this massive conference. In 2018, Syngenta’s breakfast event introduced delegates to Tommy Le, a Queensland grower who spoke about how his career in Australian horticulture has given him “a second chance at life” after his family escaped Vietnam during his childhood. (If you missed that inspiring presentation, you can read about it in The Land.) We’ll have more information on Syngenta’s 2019 speaker as we get closer to this year’s event.

AUSVEG welcomes Syngenta’s ongoing involvement in the industry and we look forward to working closely with the Syngenta team in the years ahead.
