The revised Horticulture Code of Conduct is now in full effect, so if you trade in fresh produce, you need to be aware of your obligations and responsibilities under the new provisions – including the need to have a signed Horticulture Produce Agreement (HPA).

As part of the levy-funded VegNET program being delivered in Tasmania by RMCG, the VegPRO project will be delivering a free workshop for Tasmanian growers looking to make sure that they’re compliant with the new Code.

Time/date: 10:30am-12:00noon, Friday 1 June 2018
Location: Elizabeth Town Bakery, 5783 Bass Highway, Elizabeth Town TAS

Being found to be in breach of the Code can result in penalties, including fines, so if you’re not sure if your arrangements are compliant then take advantage of this free workshop!

The workshop will be presented by Jill Briggs and Jacqueline Sutherland from Horticulture Code Consultants, and will cover:

    • An overview of the Code
    • The types of trading arrangements covered by the Code
    • Understanding the paperwork and recordkeeping required under the Code
    • An open question and answer session
