The Western Australia Seasonal Worker Programme (SWP) and Pacific Labour Scheme (PLS) has successfully landed two flights from Vanuatu to fill labour shortages in the horticulture, food processing and hospitality industries.

The two flights landed on 21 December and 7 January with 154 and 160 workers, respectively.

On Wednesday, workers from the first flight completed their 14-day quarantine at a WA Health facility and all tested negative for COVID-19 on Day 2 and 11.

Ni-Vanuatu nationals that arrived on the second flight on Thursday have entered mandatory 14-day quarantine.

On Friday 15 January, a meeting will be held between Approved Employers and the WA Government to discuss arrangements for future flights.
