The spring edition of Vegetables Australia has been printed and is due to hit mailboxes over the coming weeks.

At 80 pages – yes, 80 pages! – this will be the largest ever levy-funded magazine for the Australian vegetable industry.

Vegetables Australia – Spring 2020 features VegNET updates from right around the country, covering a range of topics from the East Gippsland Vegetable Innovation Days and beneficial insectaries to fall armyworm and protected cropping.

There is a heavy focus on export in this edition, with Export Facilitators’ case studies and the latest on vegetable export figures from the first half of 2020.

We also speak to six previous Young Grower of the Year award winners. Danny Trandos, Andrew Bulmer, Erika Watson, Daniel Adams, Chris McLoghlin, and Daniel Hoffmann reveal what has changed since they received their awards as well as what they’re doing today, and their plans for the future.

Meanwhile, we venture across to South Australia where Monika Fiebig shares her pathway to vegetable industry success, while Bianca Jacques from The Loose Leaf Lettuce Company in Western Australia speaks about her journey so far.

This is only a small sample of what is in this jam-packed edition, so if you’re not already receiving Vegetables Australia, you can subscribe to receive future editions of the magazine for free by emailing communications@ausveg.com.au.
