The next big things in farming will be on show at Fresh Select in Werribee later this month, with the VegNET program hosting the Future Farming Field Day to give local growers insights into new developments in agtech.

Among the highlights will be an in-field demonstration of the Robot for Intelligent Perception and Precision Application (RIPPA), with attendees getting the chance to see the RIPPA in action. There’ll also be updates on the rapid evolution of agtech with practical on-farm applications, including NDVI spatial mapping for crop forecasting and crowd-sourced data calibration.

Time/date: 3.00pm-5.00pm, Tuesday 24 April 2018
Location: Fresh Select, 610 Duncans Road, Werribee VIC

Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a mock surveillance exercise for vegetable leafminer as part of the ongoing project increasing Australia’s preparedness for the spread of this destructive pest into production zones.

For more information about this field day, see the event flyer. If you’re interested in attending, you can RSVP to RMCG’s Clinton Muller on 0498 192 596 or at clintonm@rmcg.com.au.
