Food Safety Trends for fresh produce in 2024

1 February @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Please join Deon Mahoney as he provides an update on Food Safety Trends for fresh produce in 2024.

Food contamination and foodborne illness continue to have a significant impact on public health in Australia and New Zealand. No matter how small the incident, foodborne illness attracts attention and can negatively impact consumer confidence, market access, and ultimately business profitability.

While we enjoy fresh produce for its health and nutrition benefits, there remain issues around produce safety that need to be better managed. In this webinar we review produce safety issues that occurred in 2023 and explore what is ahead in 2024.

We will explore emerging food safety issues, the role of quality assurance programs, testing and data analysis, and the importance of business culture and engaging with workers.
