In this PotatoLink webinar, Dr Len Tesoriero and Dr Nigel Crump, will discuss blackleg in potatoes.
Len, a plant pathologist working as a contractor with the NSW Department of Primary Industries, will provide an overview of the disease, demonstrating symptoms on the plant, the lifecycle and biology of the pathogen, weather conditions that drive disease pressure and alternate hosts.
Nigel, a potato pathologist and general manager at AuSPICA and valued member of the PotatoLink team, will outline integrated management options, including the important role of biosecurity and seed certification in preventing the disease.
