Angelo Maggione is a critical part of the team at Koala Farms’ large vegetable operation in Queensland, where he thoroughly checks the quality of the produce from harvest to delivery. As Quality Assurance Manager, Angelo upholds and implements the high food safety and quality standards set by the company and markets. Majority of his job is spent both in the field and inside the processing facilities, where he works alongside supervisors and various employees to ensure best quality standards for the produce are adhered to.
Core tasks
- Develop, implement, and maintain the organisations management systems and ensure continuing compliance to relevant quality standards.
- Review and report the principle causes of quality loss and non-conformance.
- Responsible for the quality control aspects of raw materials and finished products.
- Arrange, coordinate, and participate in external quality audits.
- Follow Occupation Health & Safety policies and procedures and help ensure all packing shed staff complies with occupational health and safety, and quality assurance requirements
