Machinery Supervisor

Hansen Orchards in southern Tasmania is a vertically integrated horticultural business growing, packing and marketing cherries and apples. As Assistant Manager / Machinery Supervisor, Tyler Townsend helps produce 3,000 bins of apples and approximately 1,000 tonnes of cherries each year. His job role is quite varied and sees him operate and maintain a wide-range of machinery including excavators, tractors, forklifts and sprayers. Tyler is responsible for netting, spraying, fixing roads, ground maintenance, and pruning in and around the orchard.
