This project aimed to create and suggest better ways to use the limited research and extension resources for crop protection. In the past IPM projects have typically been crop specific and the extension of materials or activities directed at a specific crop. Given that our important pests and diseases affect a range of crops, the research outcomes and IPM tools developed within a particular cropping system can be useful to growers of other crops. As a result of consultations, effective coordination of IPM priorities for future research and extension investment were recommended and communicated to growers to help them prepare for crisis by introducing preventative measures.
