This project aimed to test and develop a biological control agent for use against the potato wireworm, Hapatesus hirtus. The biological control agent was a strain of the entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae. The fungus was produced by CSIRO Division of Entomology and tested at sites known to have potato wireworm.
