Horticulture Industries Coordinated Response To Regulatory Issues Arising From Reviews Undertaken By The National Registration Authority And Codex Committees
Australian horticulture has identified, as a key issue, the need to maintain access too much needed farm chemicals. As a result, the chemical re-registration program of the APVMA and chemical re-evaluations of the United Nations food standards setting body Codex and many chemical users are at risk of being withdrawn. The main purpose of this project has been to assist industry deal with many issues arising from chemical reviews and Codex standard setting and to coordinate responses, where needed, to the regulatory processes.
