The project “Opportunities and challenges faced with emerging technologies in the Australian vegetable industry” aims to provide a broad review of technologies that are influencing the competitiveness of the Australian vegetable industry. This is the first of five reports to be developed during 2009-10 and reviews emerging technologies in Supply Chain and Logistics. This review, carried out through the use of competitive intelligence analyses, provides a technology roadmap that shows: where the Australian vegetable industry lies in the use of technology that benefits the competitiveness of the sector and what specific technological trends can affect the industry’s competitiveness in the years ahead.
