A tour to the first Southern Hemisphere Potato Workshop and Study Tour of South Africa from the 12th to the 27th of September 2002. The group gained an insight into the South African potato industry, which is a little larger in tonnage production than Australia but with many different problems and challenges. The report has attempted to highlight some of those challenges and at the same time, provide information about the production of potatoes and management of the South African industry.
