Short Summary
This project has led to a good understanding of the postharvest management and field culture practices required for ultilising potato microtubers for the field production of seed potatoes.

Attachment
This project was conducted to investigate the physiological ageing of potato microtubers and identify the cultural practices required to plant microtubers in the open field for seed increase. It provided information for the management of physiological age of potato microtubers, for utilising potato microtubers for the field production of seed potatoes, and on the yield produced by microtubers planted in the field. This information provides a good basis for the efficient commercial utilisation of potato microtubers for the field production of early generation seed potatoes.
