Potato Seed Standards

Australian National Standard for the Certification of Seed Potatoes

The Australian National Standard for the Certification of Seed Potatoes (2007) was developed to harmonise seed potato certification across Australia and provide biosecurity for domestic and international markets.

The National Standard replaced five separate state-based standards. Benefitting all sectors of the industry, the National Standard is a uniform set of minimum standards for disease, trueness to type and defects.

The current version of the National Standard is endorsed by AUSVEG as the Peak Industry Body on behalf of the Australian potato industry. To download the Australian National Standard for the Certification of Seed Potatoes, click here.
