Delegate registrations are now open for Hort Connections 2019, the biggest business and networking destination for the Australian horticulture industry, which will be held at the Melbourne Convention Centre from 24-26 June 2019.

This not-to-be-missed event will explore the theme of “Growing our Food Future”, bringing together thousands of attendees from the local and international horticulture supply chain to discuss on-farm and supply chain practices, review consumer behaviour and consumption trends, and focus on the future of food production.

Hort Connections is a joint initiative between AUSVEG and the Produce Marketing Association Australia-New Zealand (PMA A-NZ). These annual events have rapidly become a central fixture in the Australian and New Zealand horticulture calendar, with over 3,250 delegates expected to walk through the doors of the 2019 conference.

The Hort Connections 2019 conference will incorporate unparalleled networking opportunities for everyone in the horticulture supply chain, a trade show showcasing leading local and global businesses, and world-class speakers.

As part of the registration launch, AUSVEG and PMA A-NZ are excited to announce the first confirmed speaker: celebrity chef, author, TV presenter and MasterChef winner Adam Liaw, sharing his expert insights into trends in the food service sector.

Hort Connections 2019 is being supported by the Victorian government, with Agriculture Victoria signing up as the State Partner. Victoria has a booming horticulture sector with a combined value of over $2 billion, which is supported through initiatives like the Victorian government’s Horticulture Innovation Fund.

Hort Connections 2018 was an industry-shaping event for Australian horticulture, and included:

  • Around 3,000 delegates from domestic and international horticulture, with visitors from over 30 countries.
  • Over 1,300 attendees at the Hort Connections Gala Dinner.
  • A massive trade show showcasing over 200 local and global supply chain companies.
  • Over 15 world-class speaker sessions, research presentations and panel discussions.
