Australian vegetable and potato growers now have a comprehensive listing of key Australian agribusinesses at their fingertips, following the launch of the AUSVEG Suppliers Guide.

The Guide is an easy-to-use, one-stop directory for growers seeking information on service providers relevant to the day-to-day running of their businesses.

“This resource is the latest initiative from AUSVEG, to help growers access information which can be used to improve the profitability and productivity of their growing operations,” said AUSVEG spokesperson Lauren Winterbottom.

AUSVEG is the leading horticultural body representing more than 9,000 Australian vegetable and potato growers.

“AUSVEG has worked with industry to gather the most relevant resources for Australian vegetable and potato growers, and has made this guide available free-of-charge.”

“From superannuation to crop protection to fertilisers to labour hire, it’s all contained in the AUSVEG Suppliers Guide.”

The 2014-2015 Suppliers Guide is the first edition of an annual publication to be produced by AUSVEG to connect industry with vegetable and potato growers and has been released with the latest edition of industry magazine Vegetables Australia. It is also accessible online via the AUSVEG website, and will be released with the next edition of Potatoes Australia.

“AUSVEG has identified a gap in the market for vegetable and potato growers and produced a handy information source that can be kept in a glove-box, used at the office, or even viewed on-farm with any mobile device,” said Ms Winterbottom.

“The Suppliers Guide has been conveniently designed for our growers to make it as easy as possible to find industry information needed to improve their business and continue to produce the highest quality vegetables.”

“It is a list of go-to contacts for growers presented in an accessible and user-friendly format.”

The Guide has been published following the announcement of the 2015 AUSVEG National Convention, Trade Show and Awards for Excellence to be held at Jupiters on the Gold Coast from 25-27 June 2015.

“The Suppliers Guide, along with the 2015 AUSVEG National Convention, Trade Show and Awards for Excellence, is designed to bridge the gap between growers and industry representatives to ensure Australia continues producing the highest quality produce for local and international consumers.”
