Takin’ care of agribusiness at the AUSVEG National Convention
Leading figures from Australian and international agricultural industries are set to enlighten attendees at a special breakfast event as part of the upcoming AUSVEG National Convention, Trade Show and Awards for Excellence.
Agricultural businesses make up one of the most important sectors of the Australian economy.
“The Agribusiness Leaders Panel event will bring together the some of the most influential members of the agricultural industry who will share their insights with attendees,” said AUSVEG National Marketing Manager Simon Coburn.
“For members of the Australian agricultural industry, this opportunity is akin to an audience with Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerburg for those working in social media,” said Mr Coburn.
This event will commence at 7:30am on Friday 11 May at the Loft Bistro, part of Wrest Point Hotel Casino in Hobart, Tasmania, which is hosting the AUSVEG National Convention, Trade Show and Awards for Excellence.
The panel will feature Chief Executive Officer of Elders – Australia’s largest reseller of agricultural supplies – Mr Malcolm Jackman. Mr Jackman will be joined by Mr Joerg Ellmanns, who is the Managing Director of Australia and New Zealand for Bayer CropScience, international leaders in crop protection products.
Chief Executive Officer of Horticulture Australia Limited Mr John Lloyd, will provide specific insights into the importance of the horticultural sector within the Australian agricultural industry.
Head of Vegetables in Australia for Syngenta, Mr Andrew Simeonidis and Business Director for DuPont Mr Scott Huf, will also share their views with attendees at this exciting event.
“These industry leaders will challenge ideas and opinions about the agricultural industry and its role within the Australian economic landscape,” said Mr Coburn.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions of these influential leaders as part of this unique opportunity.
The AUSVEG National Convention, Trade Show and Awards for Excellence is the biggest event in the horticulture calendar, with the 2011 Convention in Brisbane attracting almost 1,000 delegates. In 2012 the AUSVEG Convention is set to eclipse that number of attendees and inject approximately one million dollars into the Tasmanian economy.
