AUSVEG CEO James Whiteside appeared in print media this week commenting on ABARES’ latest release of data about the economic performance of Australian vegetable-growing farms. With the data showing that vegetable farm profits have increased to an average of $189,000 per farm, Mr Whiteside noted that there were a number of factors influencing vegetable farm profitability and cash flow, including growing conditions and the consolidation of some farms.
