AUSVEG CEO James Whiteside appeared on radio this week discussing the difficulty of getting local workers into the horticultural labour force. Mr Whiteside noted that growers around the country suffer difficulties in securing a reliable workforce and that the industry would be supportive of any country that encouraged unemployed workers to access work in the sector, both skilled and unskilled.
