Dianne has enjoyed a long and varied career in international trade promotion and facilitation and has been Chair of the Export Council of Australia for 6 years. She is a commercially astute senior leader with a proven track record within the trade community. With over 40 years’ experience and a background in both business ownership and project management of greenfield projects she is helping guide the growth of Australian trade by serving on several Boards and sharing critical knowledge and insights.

Dianne is involved with many public and private organisations dedicated to the growth and sustainability of international trade. Dianne is a participant on numerous Government and Non-Government Committees including the Dept. of Home Affairs’ Customs Advisory Board, National Committee on Trade Facilitation (NCTF) and the Dept. of Agriculture, Water and the Environment’s Cargo Consultative Committee (DCCC).

Dianne has been a senior lecturer for the Export Council of Australia for over 25 years. Her expertise centres around a dynamic management career in international trade supply chain optimisation and logistics solutions. Dianne’s excellent communication skills, coupled with an ability to actively manage change, provides significant benefit to any training project. Her proven leadership skills and ability to train results in enthusiastic and productive learning outcomes.

Steven’s worked in financial services for more than 15 years. Originally covering markets as a journalist, Steven later worked as an investment specialist at global fund manager Aviva Investors and then worked as head of trading at research house Australian Stock Report.

Steven makes regular TV appearances including AusBiz Network, Sky News, and ABC Lateline. Steven has written columns for wide range of publications, including Melbourne’s Herald Sun, Singapore’s Business Times and the Hong Kong Economic Journal.

Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) Program

Chris has worked in EMDG as a Senior Grants Auditor for over 26 years assisting small to medium Australian businesses export their products to the world.

Chris is passionate about EMDG and assisting Australian businesses access the program. He is proud of the fact that the Australian Government provides assistance to Australian businesses, encouraging them to promote their products to overseas markets and in turn contribute to the Australian economy through the generation of increased export sales.

Chris holds a Diploma in Accounting and is a member of the Institute of Public Accountants.

Chris enjoys managing his sons AFL team and also enjoys his role as Treasurer of the Parent Body at his children’s school.

Completing his Bachelor of Science (Genetics) and Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance) in 2003, Chris spent a year at ANZ before moving to Scotland taking up a position at Morgan Stanley. Moving to London in 2005, Chris spent the next 3 years working as a consultant for Sapient Global Markets before helping to set up their Asian Head Office in Singapore. In 2010, Chris headed the Business Operations for Sapient Singapore as well as becoming an Account Director for Sapient Nitro; leading the business development of digital design and marketing for the Financial Services sector. After leaving Sapient in 2012, Chris moved back to Australia to assist with the business transition of Schreurs & Sons where he now leads the Business and Commercial Operations of the company.
