National Tomato potato psyllid (TPP) Program Coordinator
Mr Alan Nankivell began working as the Program Coordinator on 16 October 2017.
His role involves acting as a central contact point and knowledge broker. He will facilitate collaborations between researchers, industry groups, government, growers and service providers to aid in the development of guidelines for TPP management on-farm. Alan will also work with the Government of Western Australia to support Transition to Management (T2M) activities.

Projected program outcomes include:
- Establishing a coordinated approach to TPP management with collaboration between industry, researchers and government;
- Ensuring that direct investment to where research and development is required;
- Monitoring of the latest research and surveillance data;
- Ensuring that industry is informed about the distribution and impact of TPP, progress of research and development, T2M, and best practice.
As project coordinator, Alan works under the guidance of the steering committee. The National TPP Coordinator project steering committee includes Nigel Crump (VicSPA), Callum Fletcher (AUSVEG), Geoff Raven (PIRSA), Michael Hicks (Snack Brands Australia), Simon Moltoni (Potatoes WA), and Troy Cukrov (SupaFresh).
