The Greater Shepparton region’s fertile soils and plentiful water resources provide fantastic opportunities for wide variety of agriculture businesses and horticultural sectors in the area.

In partnership with Greater Shepparton City Council and Goulburn-Murray Water, the Committee for Greater Shepparton (C4GS) is continuing its support for the broader Australian vegetable industry, having renewed its Regional Partnership with AUSVEG.

With a focus on improving the economic development and liveability for the Great Shepparton region, the C4GS works with local organisations and businesses to drive initiatives, policies and projects that foster positive outcomes for the region.

This includes a vision of becoming the Australian centre for horticulture and dairy, exporting reliable, premium-quality fresh and value-added produce through innovative practices and world-class irrigation systems, such as those provided by Goulburn-Murray Water —Victoria’s largest rural water provider.

AUSVEG is eager to continue working with the Greater Shepparton City Council, Goulburn-Murray Water and the C4GS on mutually beneficial interests, which aligns with our industry advocacy activities.
