In 2020, the digital toolkit ‘Phenomenom’ continued to expand its reach and relevance in Australian classrooms.

The program includes a suite of springboard webisodes, audio and PDF lesson plans, and has recently introduced a new special resources pack designed specifically to talk to children about food and mood – the benefits of eating fresh produce for improving wellbeing and general outlook on life.

Ahead of the new school year, the Hort Innovation-funded Phenomenom project launched a free innovative toolkit with resources for schools and families, called The Good Mood Food Special. All resources are available for free online at phenomenom.com.au.

Phenomenom creator, ABC Culinary Correspondent and cookbook author Alice Zaslavsky, said Phenomenom has been the result of years of R&D, from a team of more than 60 talented creatives and specialists.

She said The Good Mood Food Special is a natural progression that considers the changing nature of schooling, giving parents and teachers actionable resources to make teaching easy and enjoyable, all the while helping build better relationships with food.
