There are many factors that contribute to strong environmental stewardship, but when it comes to finding evidence of the strengths and opportunities of your growing operation, it can be difficult to know where to start.

The Hort Innovation-funded EnviroVeg program provides a free online self-assessment as a great way to step back and look at the areas of your farm and business where you could optimise your resource use.

It covers everything from soil and fertilisers to energy, water and business management.

Victorian levy-paying vegetable producers can receive one-on-one assistance to start their self-assessment, with two VegNET Regional Development Officers (RDOs) currently available to visit and support their local growers to begin the process.

Please contact either:

  1. VegNET – Gippsland RDO Bonnie Dawson from Food and Fibre Gippsland on 0407 683 938 or email bonnie.dawson@foodandfibregippsland.com.au.
  2. VegNET – Victoria RDO Dimi Kyriakou from RM Consulting Group on 0488 124 626 or email dimik@rmcg.com.au.

For further information about the EnviroVeg program, contact EnviroVeg Program Coordinator Danielle Park on 0432 324 822 or at danielle.park@ausveg.com.au.
