Young Tasmanian vegetable producer and TasTAFE student Caitlin Radford was recognised as being among the best in the nation, during the 2020 Australian Training Awards ceremony.

Caitlin, who is completing her Certificate III in Agriculture, was named Apprentice of the Year at the prestigious awards for vocational education and training.

Caitlin is a fifth-generation farmer, who alongside her father Shane and mother Sharni, grows a range of crops including beans, broccoli, carrots, onions, and potatoes at their Moriarty operation, SW Radford Pty Ltd.

As outlined in this article, the Radfords were involved in the Hort Innovation-funded EnviroVeg Program pilot phase in 2019.
