AUSVEG CEO James Whiteside appeared in print media this week discussing the potential for a marketing levy for the Australian vegetable industry. Mr Whiteside noted that the industry is funding independent consultants through Hort Innovation to establish the business case behind establishing a marketing levy for vegetables, and that the findings of this research will be shared with growers so the industry can have an informed discussion about whether or not a marketing levy is right for the industry.
